If you have ever copied a “working” coupon code from a deals page, pasted it into a checkout and watched it bounce, you have met the problem this post is about. Most codes do not fail because they were fake. They fail because they were too public.
CodeVial asks for one verified email before it shows a code. That is a deliberate trade-off, and you deserve to know exactly why we made it and what it costs you.
How a good code dies
The life cycle of a shop code that leaks into the open usually looks like this:
- A shop creates a code for a specific audience — new customers, or the members of a partner site like ours.
- Someone posts it on a public page.
- Scrapers copy that page into dozens of coupon aggregators within hours.
- Redemptions spike from people who would have paid full price anyway, plus automated scripts that test every code they can find.
- The shop loses its margin on that code, so it shuts the code down or caps it so tightly that it stops working for almost everyone.
The people hurt most are the ones the code was meant for. And a shop that sees one code abused is far less willing to hand out the next one.
What the verification step actually does
The check is light on purpose. You type your email, we send a 6-digit code (or you continue with Google), and that is it. No password, no profile, no phone number.
That single step does three jobs:
- It keeps bots out. Scrapers can read a web page in milliseconds. They cannot easily receive and type a one-time code for every request.
- It keeps codes inside the club. Our partner shops — Nexo Research, Europa-Peptide and Peptid24 — give us codes because they reach real buyers instead of aggregator farms. Some of them, like the 30% code from Nexo Research, exist only on CodeVial.
- It gives you a copy. Every code you unlock is also emailed to you, so you can find it again at checkout without coming back to the site.
One verification unlocks every code on CodeVial for 180 days. You do not repeat it for each ticket.
What you give, what you get
Here is the honest trade.
You give: an email address and, if you tick the box, permission to send you coupon and deal emails.
You get: every code on the site, each one emailed to you as you unlock it, plus new drops in your inbox before they appear anywhere else.
We think that is fair, but it is your call. If you would rather not receive deal emails, untick the consent box. Without that consent we cannot unlock codes for you — the codes are the deal emails — but nothing else happens with your address.
What we do with your address
The short list:
- We store your email, the time you consented, and which codes you unlocked.
- We send you the codes you unlock and, if you agreed, new drops.
- Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
The list of things we do not do matters just as much:
- We do not sell or rent your address.
- We do not pass it to the shops we list — partners included. When you buy, the shop only sees what you give it at checkout.
- We do not use your sign-in for advertising.
Our privacy policy spells this out in full.
“Why not just post the codes?”
Some coupon sites do. You can usually tell which ones by how many of their codes still work. Posting every code in plain text maximises clicks for a week and then leaves you with a page of dead strings. We would rather run a smaller vault where the codes still work when you need them.
There is also the partner angle, and we want to be upfront about it. CodeVial earns a commission when you buy from a partner shop through our links. That can influence where they appear in our ranking — our methodology explains how. The verification gate is part of how we keep their codes worth having — for you and for them.
The gate does not touch the rest of the site
Shop scores, the comparison tool, the shop reviews, the facts tables and every blog post are open to everyone. The only thing behind the email check is the code itself. If you just want to see which shop has the lowest free-shipping threshold, you never need to give us anything.
Research use only
The shops we list sell their products for laboratory research use only. CodeVial compares vendors and their codes; nothing here is medical advice, and we never publish dosing or usage guidance.
